Organisations are now requested to keep data about the ethnic group of applicants and your response to the following question is greatly appreciated. Financial Assistance – full-time vocational training

UK applicants: White Lodge/Upper School Successful applicants who have been resident in the UK for two full calendar years (January to December) receive means-tested Government financial assistance according to parental income for both tuition fees and maintenance/boarding costs.

European Economic Area (EEA) applicants: White Lodge/Upper School
Under 16 years age: Successful applicants from the EEA under the age of 16 do not qualify for UK Government financial support and must be able to pay the full cost of the course fees and maintenance.
Over 16 years age: Successful applicants from the EEA over the age of 16 do qualify for means-tested UK Government financial support on the cost of the course fees only, not for the maintenance/boarding costs.

Non-UK and non-EEA applicants: White Lodge/Upper School
Non-UK and non-EEA applicants are not eligible for UK Government support and must be able to pay full fees and maintenance. The School does have limited scholarship and bursary funds available to assist certain students in exceptional circumstances, which are awarded at the Artistic Director’s discretion.

Associate courses: We have limited financial assistance available to support some of the students attending our Associate programmes.
Parents of successful candidates requesting financial support for associate courses will be required to submit a detailed Declaration of Income form for consideration which will be sent to you when offered a place on the course. Any information will be held by the Finance Manager and treated with strictest confidence.

EEA countries include:
Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden.

Application fee information

Application fee £65 – non-refundable

The £65 audition application fee applies to all applications submitted up to the closing dates on Monday 12 November (attending a UK audition in person), 06 January (attending a USA audition in person) and 8 January (video audition for overseas applicants). All audition fees are taken as a one-off payment by credit or debit card through payment provider Stripe. You will be asked to provide your credit/debit card number, expiry date, security code and the postcode for your card billing address.

Please note: No application can be considered without the audition fee payment included and all must be submitted by the close dates. No late applications are accepted and the application form will not be available after the close dates.

There is no pre-selection of candidates. We endeavour to invite all who apply to audition, giving everyone the opportunity to participate in one of our scheduled audition classes or to have their video viewed by the artistic selection panel. Allocation to classes takes place only after the closing date and further details of the audition class offered will be emailed in December.
Video applicants will have their viewing result emailed by the end of January. Candidates for full-time training who are shortlisted at preliminary/video stage will be invited to attend in person a second audition held in London. Candidates applying for an associate course only attend just the first stage audition.

No correspondence or dialogue can be entered into following the result of selection.
